As a UX/UI designer my job is to ensure that software applications not only look good, but have clear workflows that make them intuitive and easy to work with. I work closely with development teams and support them in creating innovate and enjoyable software products that look modern, clean and are branded according to a companies CI.
My expertise is primarily in the design of more complex, feature-heavy desktop software within the medical/technical field. I have so far been part of the development of 9 such desktop applications, as well as one smartphone app.
Typically, my work involves:
- System, requirements analysis
- Prototyping, workflows, testing | interaction design
- Visual design | interface design
- Icon design, UI implementation instructions
communication & graphic design
I create communication and visual media to help present a company, product or message. Good graphic design started out as a necessary skill for UI design work, but has since developed into a real passion and now makes up a substantial part of my work. Due to my background in UI/UX I have an additional focus of making communication material user-friendly and engaging, structuring messages so that they become simple and clear. After all, if something looks cluttered and boring, who wants to take the time to read it?
For more examples of my work, head over to Kanja, a swedish-based firm of which I am co-founder and creative director.
Communication & graphic design work has included:
- Brochures, product leaflets & flyer design
- Corporate identity design
- Book design & composition
- Video tutorials for software
- Posters & presentations
I design and build responsive websites based on the WordPress content management system. Using the latest tools and standards, I create a professional and clean online presence for companies or products.
I code in HTML5 & CSS.
